Things you've asked us

We've tried to answer the main questions we were asked in our pre-launch research meetings but if there's something specific you want to know then either e-mail Chrissie or call 020 8939 6474.

Will it cost me more?

No ... in fact you'll probably get more for your money. Because you're dealing directly with the florist making your design, there are no middlemen, no hidden charges or commissions and no call centres to pay for.

That means your budget is spent on flowers and delivery only and the florist can do the very best job for you. As a guide we've shown average prices for the designs shown and all orders will be plus delivery - which is usually around £4.95.

Are Master Florists really better?

Yes because they've made the commitment to not only be vetted and approved by our independent evaluation panel but subscribe to the industry Code of Practice, which is run by the British Florist Association.

Master Florists not only produce some of the best floristry, they offer best business practice as well. Oh yes and they know Caroline will have something to say if she hears of anything going wrong!

Can I choose what I want?

Absolutely ... that's the whole point of Master Florist. This is bespoke personal floristry, not flowers by numbers or something shoved in a box and delivered by a man in a lorry. Master Florists don't do 'floristry by the mile' ... simply because a product like flowers isn't something that works production style.

You see Mother Nature has an annoying habit of playing tricks, which means that sometimes flowers just aren't up to scratch and so any florist worth their salt just won't buy them. Our florists would rather be honest and suggest a sensible, high quality alternative than send out something half good just because that's what was in the picture.

Therefore please use our portfolio of designs as a guide to what you could have and then talk to the florist making the design. That way that can talk through any changes you'd like to make and they can tell you about availability and special buys of the day.

Do Master Florists sell Chrysanthemums and Carnations

Probably yes ... as well as Alium, Gerbera, Gloriosa Lily, Agapanthus, Celosia, Zandetchia ... in fact if you look at the varieties on the Flowers & Plants Association there's probably not a flower our Master Florists can't get ... although some do need to be pre-ordered or may not be available all year round.

You see Master Florists are on the cutting edge of design and will be the ones that select all the latest varieties of flowers including some of the most wicked Carnations and Chrysanthemums - because trust us, not all of them are boring!

What sort of design can I order?

Anything you like and for as much or little as you want to spend. We've supplied a basic list of design styles but talk to your florist and they can suggest the best design for your gift and budget.

What guarantees can I expect.

All our subscribers have signed an agreement to stick by the trade association Code of Conduct which is currently being submitted to the OFT for approval and which means they have to offer above average service and greater than normal consumer rights. However the best guarantee they can give is that they want you to come back and use them again so they'll go all out to make it work.

What if there's a problem or I need help?

Simply call or e-mail us. Our land line is 020 8939 6474 and our offices are open, 8 - 6, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings at the peak periods.

If it's a problem with the order we'll first of all try and sort it out ourselves and if that fails pass it over to the BFA Arbitration service.

If, on the other hand, you just want some friendly advice we'll do our best to help.

How to use Master Florist

This service is all about finding the best florist in the area you want your flowers sent to and then talking to the florist or using the hyperlink to visit their own website.

You can either choose the sort of design you'd like from our Portfolio (which our subscribers have a copy of) and then click on the Find a Master Florist button or go straight to Find a Master Florist, select the area and then call them to discuss what you need.

If your order is for same day delivery - usually available up to 3.00 p.m. each day, although if you're nice you may get away with later! - then we strongly recommend you phone them.

Alternatively, if your flowers are needed for delivery later in the week you can e-mail them with the basic details and they'll call you back to confirm everything is OK and take your credit card details.
